is a newly renovated
9000 square foot nonprofit venue providing educational arts & cultural experiences at 43rd & Fremont Avenue in Seattle.


 
Our mission is helping people learn to express themselves and develop through the arts, thereby improving their lives and our society as a whole.  The Abbey's focus is Music, Visual, Dance, and Literary arts in both performance, workshop, class, and private instruction formats. We also host the Fremont Music School and a myriad of community events, benefits, weddings, receptions, and more.  info & rentals...

5/9:  THANK YOU for greatly increasing our youth scholarship fund! On May 3rd the Fremont Music School put on an amazing Opera benefit to raise funds for our youth scholarships fund to allow low income youth to enroll in music classes & private lessons (guitar, bass, drums, voice, piano, band, etc.). A small portion of the funds raised will also go towards fixing up our newly donated grand piano (Thanks Mrs. Henning!) so it can be used by students & performances.  *Contact us to apply for your child if they are on free or reduced lunch.
 
Thanks to Pro Piano Move for donating the transportation services.

On another note, thanks to K. Berry Associates for the ongoing donation of our sound equipment for the Ground Floor! 

4/15: Tyler James will visit from Nashville on April 19th to perform an all-ages acoustic concert with special guest John Van Deusen (The Lonely Forest).

4/7: The Round will be at Bumbershoot 2008!  August 30, 4:30-6:00 on the Northwest Stage
 
3/20: Confirmed "Masters of Sitar" concert for May 31st.
 
3/19:  Youth Arts Scholarship now open. Apply now if your child qualifies for reduced or free lunch at school.  Current scholarship opportunities are for music classes & private instruction or summer visual arts classes (african drumming/dance class coming soon).  Just send an email to  arts@fremontabbey.org for a PDF application.
